Mum turns 87 today, but was a little pissed that no one sang happy birthday to her at breakfast. New staff, and some sort of typical morning kerfuffle meant that it was overlooked, I guess.

I took in the guest book I made for mum today, so she can write down things that happen, and her visitors can write in it as well. Hopefully she’ll be able to use it to remember those things that are eluding her these days. Bring little photos and things so she can paste them in!

More time wasted
Mum seemed much more lucid today, remembering things that’d happened on the weekend with much more clarity. She also went out to enjoy some morning tea with the other residents, so hopefully she had a tasty treat with her cuppa.

After too many weeks reading of the angst over changes to the 1x site I finally decided I’d had enough. Make it public, people, so that there is *BALANCE*! After the hail storm
Picked up my car today, exactly a month after leaving it at the panel beaters. it looks very purty! Also picked up a speeding fine…which was in the mailbox…..the little shitbox I’ve been renting CAN do over 50kph, it seems! 60 in a 50 zone….downhill, in a back street of Indooroopilly. Apparently they only place speed cameras in places with a bad crash history….....

Macca Matriarchs Meet

Skype from the nursing home...
Today mum told me, for the third day running, that macca had tried to get Ian and his family on skype, so all the Eu family could have a bit of a chat. It didn’t work, apparently…. Mum says she’s bored with eating hot cross buns, but the same two buns that Fiona gave her last Thursday are still in her fridge.
They weighed her last week, and she’s lost 2kgs in the last two months. No symptoms of lymphoma yet, and she’s always happy to have a laugh. She said Andrew visited on the weekend.

Easter
Dear Diary, Goog Friday was spent playing with chemicals, whilst Scott repaired the wall that Ross put his foot through…. Cyanotype was my dish of the day….quite enjoyed it!
